Verbal dyspraxia often comes along with general dyspraxia which affects motor planning abilities.
Many therapists, including myself, believe that improving praxis abilities and motor planning skills in general have a direct and positive influence on the verbal praxis.
Under this assumption, practicing motor planning and senso-motor skills using Timocco, such as: mid-line crossing, bi-lateral coordination, hand-eye coordination, organization in space and time and so on, can definitely be a relevant intervention with verbal dyspraxia.
Furthermore, we often see comorbidity with oral hypertonia that affects verbal abilities. If this is the case, Timocco can be used for working on muscle tone and body strength, and here again, improvement in general body functioning is expected to affect the oral condition as well.
