On Tuesday, we got the chance to watch Timocco be played by a patient and one of the Akron Children’s Therapists. Jason was referred to an OT due to concerns about his handwriting and sports ability. He was first seen by an OT in August 2013 at the age of 8. 6 year old with CP ‘forgets’ he’s got a weak hand!
I met Ben (alias), a cute 6 year-old with hemiplegic CP, when I joined his weekly physiotherapy session at an early childhood development center. I joined the sessions to guide his therapist on using Timocco in therapy. Ben was highly motivated to play the games and as a result, he used his weaker hand constantly and for longer periods of time. Sara & Ben tackle motor planning issues using Timocco
I started treating Ben, age 4.5, for multi-system disability and motor problems that originated from difficulties in motor planning. In his initial assessment, I noticed problems in gross and fine motor abilities that prevented him from taking part in arts and crafts activities. I use Timocco with a few of my patients in our individual sessions. I would like to share with you the work I do with Maya, a seven-year-old girl with significant developmental delays; cognitive difficulties, motor difficulties and severe hypotonia. Timocco Improves Limb Mobility While Playing and Having Fun
Hen-lee is a student at the “Beit Issie-Shapiro” school in Israel and is a lively and happy child.
