We’ve been hard at work adding a bunch of new features to Timocco’s eye-gaze gaming platform, and we’d like to tell you a little about the improvements.
We’ve made changes to the platform as well as to specific games, making gameplay more fun and navigation easier and more user-friendly.
Supports Eye-Gaze Learning Process Playing Timocco’s eye-gaze compatible games can help a child to improve their skills in object displacement, eye movement control and accuracy – in a fun and motivating environment that’s designed to empower them toward a more accessible and independent lifestyle.
Games can now be chosen according to Learning Curve categories in the drop-down menu on the player’s games page, helping young users to progress from cause and effect scenarios along to exploration and ultimately aid with communication as players increase proficiency.
New Game Features We’ve added extra features to a number of Timocco’s games; and soon we’ll have another update that will let you upload any image you like into the ‘Photo Album’ game, allowing users to discover familiar images and increasing recognition of individuals, people or places.
Game Improvements On some games we’ve made alterations to aid target visualization (Shoot for the Stars, Bulls-Eye) making target sizes and colors more user-friendly and we’ve improved graphics and page layout on other games (Cookie Mania, Hit the Mole, Drawing Board.)
We’ve also made some changes to game difficulty level settings – as players progress in certain games the required actions will increase in difficulty, challenging and inspiring players to succeed while building focus skills.
New Control Features Pressing the ‘ESC’ button once will stop a game; pressing ‘ESC’ twice will return the user to their main games page screen. And pressing ‘Enter’ will start a game – all features that can help a caregiver, therapist, or parent assist a young user if needed through the game platform directly into gameplay mode.
New Platform Features All games now feature automatic start, and the widescreen setting is now the default option when players enter the game. The sidebar menu on the right-hand is now a ‘pop-out feature’ that displays when a user’s gaze tracks to the right of the screen.
Compatibility And Timocco’s platform is now compatible with more eye-gaze devices – Tobii, Irisbond and MyGaze.
We hope all our eye-gaze users enjoy the update – and we look forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback – please be in touch, we want to hear from you! You can leave us a message below, email us, post to us on facebook or tweet us!
