On October 29, 2012 various professionals in the field of occupational therapy attended the workshop “Assessment and Intervention for Students with Motor Disabilities,” located in Jerusalem. The purpose was to educate a group of 45 peers, eager to learn about virtual gaming in the area of Healthcare, rehabilitation, and disability.
Occupational Therapist, Sarit Tresser had the opportunity to share the Timocco game with attendees of the workshop. Tresser explained the virtual reality environment in which the Timocco games take place, and gave time for hands-on experience with the games, which received overwhelming appeal.
In addition, Tresser explained the Timocco games from an Occupational Therapy perspective. Describing the benefits of using the Timocco games as a therapeutic tool. She gave an intricate description of the wealth of motor and cognitive advantages children with varying disabilities have received with the use of these interactive games.
