The article mentions the history of how the relationship was formed between researchers at Brown University, Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Meeting Street as well as the grant from the BIRD Foundation. Motivating Visit with our Neighbors at Akron Children’s Hospital!
On Tuesday, we got the chance to watch Timocco be played by a patient and one of the Akron Children’s Therapists. We asked the child what her favorite game was and she told us it was “Train Tracks”, however after playing “Shoot for the Stars” in our Supination & Pronation platform, she told us she liked playing that game even more! Her therapist, Mary Beth Doerr(OT), mentioned to us before the session that this patient with hemiplegic CP reached further and for longer periods while … [Read more...]

SELC Conference
We had a chance to make some new friends at the Special Education Leadership Conference in Columbus last week! Not only did Eran have a chance for a presentation, but one of the creators of C.E.W (Connect Experience Write) joined him to discuss how therapists and teachers can help improve cognitive, movement and handwriting skills using a motion-gaming platform created for children with special needs. We also announced the winner of our one year Timocco license, Sarah Hull, an Intervention … [Read more...]
First U.S Training Session-Akron Public Schools
Today we traveled to Akron Public Schools to conduct our first U.S training session, which is complementary with the purchase of Timocco licenses. We worked with a number of talented and knowledgeable Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists that work with students in grades pre-K through 12th. One of the many great benefits of Timocco is the ability to use any red, green or blue round object to play our games. We put this to the test at our training today, using items such as a big … [Read more...]
Ask Sarit: Playing Timocco at Home in a Weekly Routine
"Hi, I work in a private clinic and I enjoy using Timocco’s games during therapy. Some parents of children that I work with in-clinic have purchased Timocco’s home-edition package so their child can continue playing and developing skills at home. One child’s parents asked me to build them a workout plan, but they’re not sticking to it. What do you suggest?" The problem you’re describing is well known to us both as parents and therapists. Often there’s much we want to get done, but ultimately … [Read more...]
How Do You Play Timocco?
We’ve been hearing reports from therapists and players around the world about the different objects they use to play Timocco. And we’ve noticed ourselves that if we don’t have one of our special ball-gloves handy, there’s nearly always a convenient substitute somewhere within reach - almost any red, blue or green object will do! We’ve noticed another thing also - using different objects can be a good way to work on developing particular skills. For instance, using heavier objects to play … [Read more...]
Shoot for the Stars in 2015 with our New Year’s Game
Here at Timocco we’re ushering in the new year with yet another new game we’ve been working on! On the fun side: ‘Shoot for the stars’ is all about a multi-colored cannon that shoots fireworks. Players need to aim the cannon at the target that’s the same color before the fireworks launch to score. But don’t hit the wrong target, those rockets might bounce back… watch out for that! On the skills-building side: Shoot for the stars works across a range of motor and cognitive skills: … [Read more...]
A Big Thanks to the BIRD Foundation!
Here at Timocco we’re elated to announce plans for a joint project with Brown University and Rhode Island Hospital to develop and research a cost-effective web-based therapeutic game platform for children with physical challenges. The project is thanks to a grant from the BIRD Foundation, which promotes research and development in industries that mutually benefit Israel and the United States.
