This very special two day exhibition was full of insight, and new developments.
The purpose was to display and demonstrate all of the new solutions, technologies and developments, to make those living with special needs easier. Parents, children, and professionals all showed up to learn and participate with all the incredible innovations.
The technology can be broken down in to three parts, High Technology, Low Technology, and Computer Technology.
High Technology showed examples of cars that can be driven with a disability, the instillation of in house sensors for safety were also introduced. This monitors the movements while sleeping.
Examples of Low Technology provided demonstrations of special utilities to assist while eating, and other technologies to assist walking and arm movement with arm or leg braces.
The Computer Technology was of much interest. Since some individuals are unable to use the keys on the keyboard a device like Tobii Eyegaze can assist those with this particular disability.
Timocco also presented the way computer technology can make life easier for those disabled and create a more effective means of treatment for the therapists that assist them.
The Timocco Online Server was a great success. As children played the therapeutic games, therapists monitored the activity data rerecorded on the analytic database. After seeing how this interactive, therapeutic process can provide ongoing effective treatment, many became interested. Six Online Servers were bought, and the Timocco OT Team provided 10 of there services to parents for their children.
